9 MESES!!

Can we just take a minute and realize that I made 9 months in the mission this past week. The time goes by so fast!

This week we were able to have some amazing lessons teaching about the restoration of the gospel. I LOVE teaching the restoration, it is one of my favorite things to do. Feeling the spirit testify that it is true is the best feeling. It is a message SO powerful. That God is our loving Heavenly Father and he loves us and will never forget us. How he answers our prayers and how we are important to him, and our problems are important to him.

This week we were talking with a family in front of their house and then all their neighbors and friends and family showed up and they all talked to us and had questions. there was a LOT of sound cause we were on the side of the road so we marked to meet with them again when it was more calm. Three of them ended up coming to church this week!!

I dont have alot of time.
But, This week we were able to have an amazing experience with a less active. We were walking down the street and my purse. BROKE. just out of no where, broke. (my luck) so we stopped and were trying to fix it when a women looked out her window and saw us in the street. (i think cause we were laughing so hard that she heard us and looked) and she said "sisters!!" and we saw her and started to talk to her, she knows how to fix purses. and invited us in so she could help me. We were able to talk to her and she was able to share with us how she found the church and why she stopped going. We were able to help her though the scriptures and it was amazing. the spirit was strong. I know that heavenly father loves all his children. and he had to break a purse of a sister to help us find one of his beloved daughters!!

I love this work so much!!!!

Remember to read the Book of Mormon!!

this week.

Hello!! I am so bad with subject lines, I never know what to put.

This week was a great week! We had our Zone Meeting!! That was awesome because I was able to see some of my friends there in Caico. We also got to hear the messages of our mission leaders! This month they taught alot about love. The pure love that we should have for all the people we come in contact with, especially the people who we are teaching and our companions! It was inspired. Also as a mission we are focing more on teaching familes and completing familes. So we set a bunch of goals and I am excited to work to reach them.

This week I did an exchange with the STL's. Sister Abreu came in to our area to help us out a little. It was amazing, she is an amazing missionary and is going home in December. We met a women named Sandra who is recently seperated.13 years ago she met with the missionaries and was never baptised. As we were walking down the street we stopped in front of a house and clapped our hand to ask where another house was and BAM. we met sandra, it is funny how the Lord works. She invited us to come back. She is a single mom of two and told us that she feels really far from our Savior and wants to better her realationship with him. I am so excited to work with her and help her come to know our Savior better.

We also met a young women named Luana, we met her satuerday night, invited her to church and she came. She said when she was younger she had gone and always wanted to be in the young womens program. This sunday when she went she was so happy to learn and go to young womens. She made friends right of the bat. She is amazing.

This week I realized that the Lord prepares people at different times. Just like with Sandra and Luana, in the past they werent ready, but know they have another chance to expect the Gospel of Jesus Christ in their lives. I am so thankful to be a tool in his hands and find the people he is preparing for us.

It isnt always easy to wait for the Lord's time in all things, but he has a bigger plan for us. Sometimes we get caught up in what WE want, and forget what the Lord wants. What he wants is always better for us. When we put our trust in him everything works out for the better. I am thankful for my mission and my chance to be taught everyday.

Remember to read The Book of Mormon, and say your prayers.

xoxo.

Families can be together forever!

This week was a great week! Always a great week in the mission because this is the work of the Lord! But really this week was good!

One highlight of my week was the Family night that we had with a family we are teaching Anderson and Cida. They arent married for real but they are so interested in the church and have the desire to get married. So they are working everything out to hopefully get married by the end of this month. Here in Brasil there is a TON of paperwork and waiting for paperwork in order to get married. So they have started this waiting game. But we were able to have an awesome family night with them.Us, Elders and some members went there and talked about The Family Proclamation, and how important eternal familes are.  It was amaizng and the spirit was so strong. I know they know that they can have an eternal family. But I think they are nervous to take the steps of getting baptised. But they were able to go the baptism of the Elders this week and watch how a baptism is and feel that spirit there. It was amazing!!

I am really thankful for all the things i have to learn here on the mission, Everyday there is something new. everyday there is a chance to be better. Right now we are trying to work with alot of inactive members, and I know that will help our area a lot!! :)

Sorry this email is super short. But I love you all so much. PRaying for you all.

This week!!

This week was great!

We are teaching this girl, shes 15, we started teaching her mom but then she got super intertested too! Her name is Lorena! We taught her and then asked to go read a part in the BOM and pray to know if it was true. She prayed and told us that she knows everything we are saying is true and that she has the desire to learn more. We were able to take a young women in the ward there to help us teach her and it was AMAZING. The spirt is so strong when we are teaching Lorena and I hope she keeping praying and reading and learning more and more.

This week we were talking with the elders and teasing one of the elders (friendly teasing) becuase he told us a super funny story. When me and Sister G. Silva left we were walking on the street, still laughing, as we passed a nail.. that caught my skirt... and my skirt tore right down the side.. a HUGE hole.. my comp started laughing so so so hard saying it was my karma for teasing Elder Cragun. We were able to tie a knot in my skirt to finish our day and then we had a good laugh and kept on working. but karma is real. ;)

I dont have alot of time.. but i have pictures to make up for it!! :) I love you all so much. remember to always read the Book of Mormon! :)

I CLIMBED A MOUNTIAN TODAY!!

TODAY I CLIMBED A MOUNTIAN (compared to utah mountains it just was a big hill. but it was amazing) We had a funny thing hapen. We had to walk 7 miles to the START of the trail. So we left the city and started walking, and then climped the mountain, and when we started climbing down I said a prayer outloud and said "Heavenly Father, please prepare a way for us to take a car back to the city, I dont wanna walk 2.30 more hours." The Elders laughed at me, but I was dead seious. When we were back at the mouth of the trail we waiting a second, bought come Coke and what happened. A HUGE WORK TRUCK PASSED. I stopped them and asked where they were going, they said the city. I asked for a ride and they said of course! So our whole district got a ride back into the city. After we said a prayer super greatful cause I really didnt wanna walk that 7 miles. And the Lord was looking out for us. :)

This week was great! It was TRANSFERS!!! The week of most stress. My companion, Sister Guimaraes left. And also the other area of sisters closed. So just left me in the house. I am still in Curris Novos. I have 8 months in the same zone just switching areas.. lots of time haha.  My new comp is Sister G. Silva from Rio de Janeiro. SUPER LEGAL! She has 4 months in the mission. She is about 6ft. and super loud and crazy. So it looks like we are going to have alot of fun together. One of our investogators joked and said that she is my new body guard haha.

This week we were able to work alot with the familes that we are teaching. one is Anderson (first name), Cida, Alison and Aliene. I love this family so much, we learned this week that they arent married for real. But, Cida said to us that when she learned about familys forever she now has the desire to get married!! WHOO!!! i am so happy. Her and aliene went to church this week and liked it alot. It was great to be able to sit with her. I was so nervous cause she told us she was going to walk there by herself. So Sister G. Sliva and I were waiting for her and the sacrament meeting had already started and she still wasnt there. I was praying like CRAZYING. About 5 min in one of the Elders from the branch came and got me and said someone was waiting for us at the door. IT WAS CIDA AND ALIENE!! I was so happy!!

I am doing really well! The work here is going, Throughout all the stuggles I have really learned to trust in my Father in Heaven. That through him I can do all things. I am so thankful for a Father in Heaven who is looking out for me at all times and all things and all places. I know that he lives and he is listening to all our prayers. and sometimes he will answer fast with a carride back into the city. Or sometimes he will take a little more time to answer. But i know he will answer.

I love you all so much! thank you for all the love and support! :)

I am sorry again this week. The computer shop is having problems and I cant send pics :( but next week I will have a ton super cool for you guys on top of the mountian and everything!! :):)

HELLO!

Hello Family and Friends!!

This week was good! There was a ton that happened cause it was our zone meeting and so the 8 of us in my district went traveling all over to get to zone meeting, but it is always nie to get together and talk about our goals and the things we want to do as a mission. :) And to see friends who are coming and going from the mission!

We are still teaching the family of Alison, it is going great! They are all reading the book of mormon as a family and praying together, now we just gotta get them to church and help them grow in their testiomony!

We met another women this week her name is Joel, she is great! She stopped US in the road to talk to us and invited us to come back. We went there and talked about the Book of mormon with her and left her with a part to read! She has 2 daughters and has adopted us as two more daughters!

We are teaching another women who is named Paula! She is AMAZING, and has so many questions and it is amazing teaching her cause you can see her mind thinking and having it all make sense! She works with helping women get out of bad situations.

Familas!!!

These week we have been so blessed to be able to meet tons of familes amazing!! I am so happy with the familes we are teaching right now!!

One was a referance from a different investogator, we went there because we started teaching their teenage son. But then the whole gang joined! A family of four, the mom isnt going to one church right now, but she has alot of faith in Jesus and God. And the father is going to another church but he is super open with us. When we taught them the Restoration it was amazing to watch them all ask questions and learn together. We were also able to talk a little about eternal familys and they were so excited and wanted to learn more and more. I love this family so much. Alison is the boy we started teaching and he has a desire to get baptised! I am hoping this desire will help his whole family go to church and have the same desire!

The other family is Nino and his family of three! they are amazing!! we went to their house the first time and they were so welcoming and nice. then we returned and taught them the restoration and their jaws were hanging open. They were so happy! the spirit was so strong and they said they felt the spirit and never wanted us to leave cause they wanted this spirit with them all the time. Luckily they can!! :):):):):):) We have kept going back and they are praying about if our message is true and batism. and i know they will feel the spirit again! :):):)

I am so thankful for teaching families. It makes me so thankful for my family that I have and for the knowleage i have that we are going to be together forever! God has blessed us with familes because he loves us! I love my family and am thankful for everything they have taught me! I know that within the family we can feel lives greatest joys! and that they are always here for us no matter what!!

I love you all! praying for you!!
